Credit recovery classes are for adult learners who may have faced learning disruptions and need to take a specific class in order to meet graduation requirements for their high school credential.

Maine requires all students to learn a minimum number credits, years, or other equivalent in standards achievement in graduate:

A. English--4 years;

B. Social studies, American history, government, civics and personal finance--2 years;

C. Mathematics--2 years;

D. Science, including at least one year of laboratory study--2 years; and

E. Fine arts --one year.

 We offer these classes on a case by case basis. Our credit recovery program provides course work that students can be completed independently online, in-person, or a hybrid with person-in and online class time.

All students receive individual learning plans to help them meet their educational goals.

This general awareness course will assess the representation of women in various domains, including sports, politics, education, STEM fields, pink-collar jobs, and managerial positions. We will also review challenges that many working women face, as well as strategies for addressing those challenges both as an individual and from an organizational perspective.
